English: Grangetown is a township in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated on the outskirts of Middlesbrough between the town and ICI Wilton. It is approximately 3.3 miles east of Middlesbrough centre and 4.4 miles from Redcar. Although outside of Middlesbrough, it is part of the Middlesbrough agglomeration. It was historically part of the parish and urban district of Eston. Grangetown was brought into the Teesside county borough in 1968; from 1974 to 1996, it formed part of the County of Cleveland, and in 1996 it became part of the Borough of Redcar and Cleveland (originally called "Langbaurgh"). It has a population of approximately 8,000 residents.
